Isaiah chapter 55:8-9 says, “For my thoughts, are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
God will do things His way. If you allow God’s Word to touch your heart, it will do the work it needs to do. Now God sent His words to heal us, not to harm us. He sent His words to guide us and strengthen us, and if we follow His words and allow his ways to lead us, the promise is that we’ll go out through this life with joy.
We’ll be led through the valley of the shadow of death that’s coming over this world, but we’ll be led through it with peace. Let’s not presume that God must answer us our way. Let’s learn to trust His ways. Let’s start to pray again. Let God’s voice begin to guide us.
It’s time to pray.
