Psalm 71, verse 17 and 18 says this: “O God, you have taught me from my youth, and to this day I declare your wondrous works. Now also, when I am old and gray headed, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare your strength to this generation, your power to everyone who is to come.”

One of tragedies, I think, that happens in any generation is when those of us that have walked with God for many, many years and have been kept by the power of God fail in our responsibility to pass that knowledge on to the next generation. The prophet Malachi, in chapter 4, speaking of the days just prior to the days of the Lord’s coming, said there’s going to be a voice raised, and that voice will cause the heart of fathers to turn back to their children and the children back to their fathers.

For those of us who have known God, it’s time to pray.

My daughter who is 25 is part of this new generation. I am learning even in small things for God to speak to me and give me his wisdom when I speak to her. I don't understand the tatoo's or tongue piercings, however I try to remind her that God loves her so much and has been with her from the start. Pastor thank you for being such a good Shepard as you help navigate us and draw our children closer to God. We leave no one back.
