Psalm 132, “Lord, remember David and all his afflictions; how he swore to the Lord, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob: ‘Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed; I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.'”
It is so important that every one of us finds a personal place of prayer. It takes determination; every distraction and diversion that can be formed against it will be. A prayerless person is left only to hear his own voice and to follow his own reasonings. But David says in verse 6, “Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah [of course, that’s where Bethlehem was] and we found it in the fields of the woods”-a place where shepherds dwelled! Thank God!
It’s time to pray.
