Luke chapter 18 and verse 1, “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.”
You know it can be so easy to give up when everything seems to be going wrong, and victory no longer appears to be before us, our tendency is just to quit, and give in to the circumstance. Not so with Olympic runner John Ahkwari. Half way into his long-distance race, he fell and was badly injured. Instead of giving up he continued on, half running, half limping. People begged him all the way along the course to quit, but he wouldn’t. He crossed the finish line about one hour after the first-place runner to the cheer of thousands who were waiting for him. Almost no one that day remembers the name of the winner, but everyone remembers John.
It’s time to pray!
