This is Carter Conlon reading to you today from the gospel of Mark chapter 10 beginning at partway through verse 14, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it. And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.”
As a pastor, as a father and a grandfather, each time I hold a child in my arms I’m reminded of the deep calling that is on my life. I’m called to protect them, guide them, and ultimately extend the blessing of God to them. It requires an unselfish heart and the willingness to fulfill that calling in spite of any personal cost. We have an enemy that’s doing everything in his power today to steal, kill and destroy their futures. You and I now need the strength that only God can give to stand in the gap for them and push back this darkness.
It’s time to pray!
