Don't Let Verse 4 Ruin a Great Song!

Psalm 23 and verse 4, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

You know, some people’s lives, like Psalm 23, are such a sweet song. At times we ask, “Why does a verse four have to come along and ruin my song?” Well, actually it doesn’t. Verse four is a bridge in your life song-from early innocence and deeper understanding. After verse four, we learn that death is only a shadow; it has no power. Passing through it, we feast before powerless enemies. We realize that goodness and mercy will keep us forever, and the temple of God will be our returning home. Don’t let verse four ruin a great song!

It’s time to pray.

    Pastor Carter,

I'm going through worries about my health and hearing this today, as my first thing in the morning, makes me know that God is speaking to me. Thank you!

"Thy rod and thy staff comfort me." That is what I need for this rehearsal and concert coming up on the 6th of December and the 13th of December to play the cello. Faiona
