Matthew chapter 8, beginning at verse 1: “When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, ‘Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.’ Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’ Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”
Sometimes people can feel so down and dirty that they lose all hope of ever being happy and whole again. Family and friends shun them while others remind them daily of their failings. For some reason, coming to God seems like a last resort, wondering if He is like all the others, or maybe is He willing to help?
You know, how wonderful it is to feel His compassionate touch when we pray and to hear His words, “I am willing; be cleansed.”
It’s time to pray.
