Complaining My Blessing Away
/

“In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing. My soul refused to be comforted. I remembered God and was troubled. I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed” (Psalm 77:2-3).

When we complain about the circumstances in our lives, we rarely stop to consider that complaint in the Christian life can be a veiled accusation against the very faithfulness of God. In Romans 8:28, He tells us that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. That means that all things allowed in my life are there for a higher purpose than I can sometimes understand. Oh God, help me to not complain away my blessing today.

It’s time to pray.

This comes at a time which is so needed. Moving from my beloved birth place of Brooklyn, NY 2 weeks ago after being homeless since October 2015. I arrived here in Raleigh, NC with my son with literally a small suitcase of clothes, a pillow and blanket each. Picking up the pieces and leaving my friends, family and support system was a very tough decision but I knew God wanted me here to thrive and not just survive so that I can do His work in this region and area to help others come back into His fellowship so we can spread His love to all who are in need. Thank you my dear Lord, sweet Jesus for this calling. My only request is that my son Michael Fanelli be blessed with your precious blood so that he may be patient, have courage and faith in You .. And find his calling and way to reach out and do whatever his mission is here in our new hometown.

Thank you Pastor Carter. The Lord has been using your words to encourage me through the darkest and most difficult and necessary valley of my faith walk. Week after week for many months now. Thank you for your messages. They are born out of your own struggles and also out of the prayer closet. God bless you and every other servant alongside of you at tsc. Will be praying with you on every Tuesday night I can from Portugal.
