The book of First Peter, chapter 5, and verse 7 says these words: “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” You know, I am so grateful this Thanksgiving that I can cast my cares on a Savior and friend who cannot only solve the difficulties that I bring to Him, but He can also give me the grace to endure the trials that all of us have to face-whether they are long-standing or they come unexpectedly.
His constant reassurance that all will be well brings a level of calm and comfort that only God could give to me. And as my now dear departed friend David Wilkerson used to often quote, “There is no need to worry, for God is in complete control.”
My brother, my sister, cast your cares upon Him this Thanksgiving, for He cares for you.
It’s time to pray.
