Psalm 69, verses 1 through 3: “Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. I am weary with my crying; My throat is dry; My eyes fail while I wait for my God.”
Without doubt, we’ve all had bad days. No doubt this moment ranked among the worst that King David had ever known. I’m so glad in my heart there were no superman or superwomen in the Bible-just ordinary people like you and I that have both good and bad days. But we know the end of the story: none of them were forsaken. David had and would dance again in the presence of his faithful Lord.
Today I would like for you to close your eyes just for a moment and see yourself dancing the dance of joy that’ll soon be yours again.
