James chapter 5 beginning at verse 17, “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.”
In times past, when we struggled as a nation, we turned to prayer. When we did, the power of God was engaged and great change came. In 1857, on the verge of economic uncertainty, the city of New York was gripped by prayer and tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people, found the strength that God was willing to give them.
As Elijah did, it’s time for all of us to pray again. When we do, heaven will once again give its reign and the place where we live, will become what God has always intended it to be.
Please remember–it’s time to pray.
