Psalm 35, verses 9 and 10, “And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; it shall rejoice in His salvation. All my bones shall say, ‘Lord, who is like You, delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him.'”
In this Psalm, the writer speaks of the all-consuming awe that he believes will fill his whole body as he witnesses the power and mercy of God-bringing deliverance in a difficult time. Today you and I are indeed living in a dark and fearful place, but what a wonderful time to again see Jesus set free those who have no power to escape the plundering evil that seems to surround them.
Can we believe for a true spiritual awakening in our time? I am believing with all my heart, and I will continue to believe. I am personally convinced that my bones, too, will soon stand in totally awe of the power of God.
It’s time to pray.
