This is Carter Conlon, reading to you today from the book of Ephesians, chapter 4 beginning at verse 21, “If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind. And that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”
The church in our generation is weak. Part of the problem stems from the lack of true reverence for God, and the casual attitude towards sin. So many of God’s people live in what I call ‘a debilitating mixture.’ Standing with a smoke-stained lantern in their hand, their lives present no clear path for those seeking help in an ever-growing hopeless world.
It’s time for old ways of living to be put away. It’s time for you and I to shine.
It’s time to pray!
