Listen to the encouraging words of the apostle Paul in Acts 27, verses 23-25: “There stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, ‘Do not be afraid Paul, you must be brought before Caesar, and indeed God has granted you all those that sail with you.’ Therefore, take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it has been told me.”
Yes, Paul himself was in the same storm that others were in. But he was a man of prayer. He believed the words of the Lord Jesus: if anyone seeks to save his life, he will lose it. And he gave himself to glorify God and to seek the betterment of others. Because of this, he was given a sure word form God for the lost and fearful who were in crisis all around him. You and I can make a difference in the days ahead if we choose to make the right choices.
It’s time to pray.
