A Riddle For Today
/

Matthew chapter 18, verses 19 and 20: “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

I have a riddle for you today: What has four eyes and can’t see? The old answer used to be the Mississippi. A better answer for us today would be two followers of Christ who get together regularly but don’t pray.

Now, the question is, what don’t they see? Well firstly, they don’t see Jesus standing with them while they pray, and secondly, they don’t see His willingness and incredible power that He’s willing to unleash on their behalf. And the moral of my riddle is really simple: when A and B get together, how wonderful it would be if they could “C.”

It’s time to pray.
