A Person After God's Heart

Psalm 143 beginning at verse 7, “Answer me speedily O Lord; My spirit fails! Do not hide your face from me, Lest I be like those who go down into the pit. Oh, cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you.

You and I know that King David as described in the Bible was a man after God’s own heart. Throughout the struggles in his life he always had the desire to turn from his own ways and turn back to the ways of God. He saw the peril of those who deal casually with the divine promises that God has given them. Though you may not feel good about some of your actions today God, as with David, is willing to restore you and to protect you as soon as He hears your voice asking Him for help. So be a person after God’s heart.

Remember now, it’s time to pray.
