A Comfort We May Have Forgotten
/

1 Thessalonians chapter 4 beginning at verse 16, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

The early church had a comfort that many of us have forgotten today. We would do well to revisit this truth. It was the comfort of knowing that Jesus Christ is soon coming for His church to take us all home. As ours are increasingly becoming, their days were difficult as well. If they found comfort from this thought then we must revisit it, and begin to speak it again to each other. The last words of Jesus in the Bible are, “Surely I’m coming quickly.”

It’s time to pray!

I am grateful for this sight. I am struggling in every area of my life. I do know the lord and his mercy and grace have brought me this far, but the struggle is hard and tiring. I need prayer for every area of my life. For unborn babygirls father who is stuck in his addiction but still seeking guidance from God. Please pray for us. Our minds and spirits are in chaos.
